Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to SRPK2 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by IHC-00687 maps to a region between residue 425 and 475 of human SFRS protein kinase 2 using the numbering given in entry NP_872633.1 (GeneID 6733).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Serine/arginine rich protein-specific kinase 2 (SRPK2) phosphorylates RS domain-containing proteins, such as SFRS1 and SFRS2 on serine residues. SRPK2 plays a role in spliceosome assembly and in mediating the trafficking of splicing factors. SRPK2 also appears to mediate HBV core protein phosphorylation which is a prerequisite for pregenomic RNA encapsidation into viral capsids [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P78362].
