Production Procedures
Recombinant antibody was purified from cell culture supernatant.
Immunogen was a peptide representing a region between residue 305 and the C-terminus (residue 355) of human Galectin-9 using the numbering given in entry NP_033665.1 (Gene ID 3965).
Additional Product Information
The galectins are a family of beta-galactoside-binding proteins implicated in modulating cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. Galectin-9 is an S-type lectin overexpressed in Hodgkin's disease tissue that plays a role in the pathogenesis of this disease and its associated immunodeficiency.[taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 3965)].
