Production Procedures

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to FANCA immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A301-980A maps to a region between residue 1405 and 1455 of human Fanconi anemia, complementation group A using the numbering given in entry NP_000126.2 (GeneID 2175).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to FANCA immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A301-980A-T maps to a region between residue 1405 and 1455 of human Fanconi anemia, complementation group A using the numbering given in entry NP_000126.2 (GeneID 2175).

Additional Product Information

FANCA (Fanconi anemia, complementation group A) is a protein involved in DNA repair. Defects in FANCA are the cause of Fanconi anemia, a heterogenous autosomal recessive disorder characterized by congenital malformations and a predisposition to cancer. The FANCA gene is one of 13 complementation groups that include FANCA, FANCB, FANCC, FANCD1/BRCA2, FANCD2, FANCE, FANCF, FANCG, FANCI, FANCJ/BRIP1, FANCL, FANCM, and FANCN/PALB2. The FANC members are not homologous proteins but are related by their assembly into a common nuclear complex.

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
