Additional Product Information

BTAF1 is a member of the SNF2-like family of ATPases that associates with the TATA-binding protein (TBP) and TAFII170 (TAF172) to form the B-TF-IID complex. As part of the general transcription machinery, BTAF1 acts as a regulator of TBP and RNA polymerase II transcription.

Alternate Names

ATP-dependent helicase BTAF1; BTAF1 RNA polymerase II, B-TFIID transcription factor-associated, 170kDa (Mot1 homolog, S. cerevisiae); B-TFIID transcription factor-associated 170 kDa subunit; MOT1; Mot1 homolog; TAF(II)170; TAF172; TAF-172; TAFII170; TATA-binding protein-associated factor 172; TBP-associated factor 172

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
