Recombinant antibody was purified from cell culture supernatant.
Immunogen was a peptide representing a region between residue 191 and the C-terminus (residue 241) of human Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 18 (GITR) using the numbering given in entry NP_004186.1 (Gene ID 8784).
GITR/TNFRSF18 is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. It has been shown to have increased expression upon T-cell activation, and it is thought to play a key role in dominant immunological self-tolerance maintained by regulatory T cells. GITR/TNFRSF18 also plays a role in the regulation of CD3-driven T-cell activation and programmed cell death. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011] [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 8784)].
