Production Procedures

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to WRNIP1 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00282 maps to a region between residue 400 and 450 of human Werner helicase interacting protein 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_064520.2 (GeneID 56897).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

WRNIP1 (Werner helicase interacting protein 1) was identified as a protein that interacts with the N-terminal region of Werner protein (WRN). WRN is a RecQ DNA helicase important to DNA repair and is the causative gene of Werner syndrome (WS), an autosomal recessive disease characterized by premature aging. WRNIP1 has been shown to interact with DNA polymerase delta (pol delta) and play a role in pol delta-mediated DNA synthesis. Additionally, WRNIP1 has been shown to interact with polyubiquitin chains indicating a link between ubiquitination and the DNA repair pathway.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
