Production Procedures

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to RPL7 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00455 maps to a region between residue 200 and the C-terminus (residue 248) of human Ribosomal Protein L7 using the numbering given in entry NP_000962.2 (GeneID 6129).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

RPL7 is a component of the 60S ribosomal subunit. Ribosomes are composed of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit that function to catalyze protein synthesis. RPL7 is a member of the L30P family of ribosomal proteins and can bind both DNA and RNA in vitro. RPL7 is a cytoplasmic protein implicated to play a regulatory role in translation. It has also been identified as an auto-antigen in patients with autoimmune diseases such as lupus erythematosus.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with tris-EDTA pH9.0 buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
