Production Procedures

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Phospho XRCC1 (S518/T519/T523) immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00115 maps to a region surrounding residues Ser 518, Thr 519 and Thr 523 of human X-ray Repair Complementing protein 1 using the numbering given in SwissProt enty P18887 (GeneID 7515).

The epitope recognized by IHC-00115-T maps to a region surrounding residues Ser 518, Thr 519 and Thr 523 of human X-ray Repair Complementing protein 1 using the numbering given in SwissProt enty P18887 (GeneID 7515).

Additional Product Information

X-ray repair cross-complementing protein 1 (XRCC1) has been identified as a gene that partially rescues a DNA repair defect and therefore plays a role in efficient repair of single-stranded breaks in DNA damage caused by ionizing radiation. XRCC1 interacts with human polynucleotide kinase, DNA polymerase-beta, and DNA ligase III in a multiprotein complex to execute the function of DNA repair.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
