Production Procedures

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Phospho-MCM2 (Ser 108) immobilized on solid support.

Immunogen for IHC-00014 was a synthetic phosphorylated peptide, which represented a portion of human Minichromosomal Maintenance Deficient 2 surrounding Serine 108 according to the numbering given in entry NP_0045117.2 (GeneID 4171).

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Phospho-MCM2 (Ser 108) immobilized on solid support. Immunogen for IHC-00014-T was a synthetic phosphorylated peptide, which represented a portion of human Minichromosomal Maintenance Deficient 2 surrounding Serine 108 according to the numbering given in entry NP_0045117.2 (GeneID 4171).

Additional Product Information

The MCM (Mini-Chromosome Maintenance) complex is a key component of the pre-replication complex involved in replication licensing which restricts DNA replication to only once per cell cycle. The MCM complex is a heterohexamer of MCM2, MCM3, MCM4, MCM5, MCM6, and MCM7. MCM2 interacts with the core MCM complex (MCM4, 6, and 7) to regulate its helicase activity.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
