Additional Product Information

UFM1-specific ligase 1 (UFL1) is and E3 UFM1-protein ligase that mediates ufmylation of target proteins such as DDRGK1/C20orf116. The function of ufmylation is unknown. UFL1 may act as a tumor suppressor by inhibiting cell invasion, blocking NF-kappa-B signaling and increasing stability of CDK5RAP3 [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ O94874].

Alternate Names

E3 UFM1-protein ligase 1; E3 UFM1-protein transferase 1; KIAA0776; LZAP-binding protein; Maxer; NLBP; novel LZAP-binding protein; RCAD; regulator of C53/LZAP and DDRGK1; Regulator of CDK5RAP3 and DDRGK1

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
