Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to CAD immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A301-374A maps to a region between residue 1850 and 2000 of human carbamoyl-phosphate synthetase 2, aspartate transcarbamylase, and dihydroorotase using the numbering given in entry NP_004332.2 (GeneID 790).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to CAD immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A301-374A-T maps to a region between residue 1850 and 2000 of human carbamoyl-phosphate synthetase 2, aspartate transcarbamylase, and dihydroorotase using the numbering given in entry NP_004332.2 (GeneID 790).
CAD is an enzyme involved in the first three steps of the de novo synthesis of pyrimidine nucleotides. CAD exhibits multiple catalytic activities and is described as a “fusion” protein that can function as a carbamoylphosphate synthetase, aspartate transcarbamoylase, and dihydroorotase. CAD has been shown to be phosphorylated by mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase and protein kinase A (PKA) for the coordination of cell cycle progression and pyrimidine biosynthesis.
