Additional Product Information

MGA (MAX gene-associated protein) functions as a dual-specificity transcription factor which regulates the expression of both MAX-network and T-box family target genes. MGA function is activated by heterodimerization with MAX. MGA can function as a repressor or an activator. It binds to 5'-AATTTCACACCTAGGTGTGAAATT-3' core sequence and seems to regulate MYC-MAX target genes [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ Q8IWI9].

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
