Additional Product Information

eIF3S8 (eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit 8) is one of 13 non-identical subunits that comprise the eIF-3 (eukaryotic translation initiation factor-3) complex. eIF-3 plays a role in ribosome dissociation, the stimulation of mRNA binding, and the stabilization of the ternary complex for the initiation of protein synthesis.

Alternate Names

cell migration-inducing protein 17; eIF3 p110; eIF3c; EIF3CL; eIF3-p110; EIF3S8; eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit 8; eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit C; eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3, subunit 8 (110kD); eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3, subunit 8, 110kDa

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
