TIMP1 Antibody

Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are peptidases that are involved in the degradation of extracellular matrix during tissue remodeling. Tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-1 (TIMP1) is a member of a family of proteins that are inhibitors of MMPs. The TIMP family of proteins has also been shown to exhibit other biological activities independent of MMP inhibition. Some of these activities include cell proliferation, steroidgenesis, and apoptosis.
