Separase Antibody

 
Separase is a specific endopeptidase that is responsible for cleaving the SCC1-RAD21 subunit of the cohesin complex at the onset of anaphase. Disruption of the cohesin complex by separase results in sister chromatid separation so that cytokinesis can proceed. Alternative names for separase include separin, caspase-like protein ESPL1, extra spindle poles-like 1 protein, ESPL1, ESP1, and KIAA0165.
