SAS-6 (spindle assembly abnormal protein 6 homolog) was identified in a mass-spectometry-based proteomic analysis of human centrosomes. It has been found to be required for centrosome duplication and centriole assembly. SAS-6 is also known as HsSAS-6, SAS6, and SASS6.
