SAH3 Antibody

 
SAH3 is an alkaline ceramidase isoform. Cermidases function to cleave fatty acids from ceramides to yield sphingosine. Ceramides can mediate signals that lead to differentiation, apoptosis, or senescence. SAH3 is a ceramidase isoform found in the epidermis of mammals and may play a role in keratinocyte differentiation. SAH3 is also known as ASAH3, Alkaline ceramidase 1, Alkaline CDase-1, AlkCDase1, Acylsphingosine deacylase 3, N-acylsphingosine amidohydrolase 3, ACER1, adenosylhomocysteinase, KIAA0828, and FLJ21719.
