SAE1 Antibody

Heterodimers of SUMO-activating enzyme subunit 1 (SAE1) and SAE2 act as an E1 ligase for SUMO1, SUMO2, SUMO3, and probably SUMO4. Heterodimers mediate ATP-dependent activation of SUMO proteins followed by formation of a thioester bond between a SUMO protein and a conserved active site cysteine residue on UBA2/SAE2 [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ Q9UBE0].

Alternative names for SAE1 Antibody include ubiquitin-like 1-activating enzyme E1A antibody, SUMO-1 activating enzyme E1 N subunit antibody, sentrin/SUMO-activating protein AOS1 antibody, ubiquitin-like protein SUMO-1 activating enzyme antibody, AOS1 antibody, SUA1 antibody, UBLE1A antibody.
