SA1 Antibody

 
SA1 is a component of the multisubunit cohesin complex. Cohesin functions to hold sister chromatids together during meiosis and mitosis and ensure proper segregation of chromosomes. SA1 has also been identified as a mediator of p53 induced apoptosis. Alternate names for SA1 include STAG1, stromal antigen 1, cohesin subunit SA-1, SCC3 homolog 1, and DKFZp781D1416.
