RFWD2/COP1 Antibody

Constitutive photomorphogenic protein 1 (COP1) has been characterized in plants as a RING-finger-containing protein that functions to repress plant photomorphogenesis. In mammals, COP1 has been identified as an E3 ubiquitin ligase that negatively regulates p53 protein levels in unstressed cells. In response to DNA damage COP1 is phosphorylated by the ataxia telangiectasia mutated (ATM) protein kinase and is rapidly degraded releasing p53 to exert its tumor suppressor activities.

Alternative names for RFWD2/COP1 Antibody include E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase RFWD2 antibody, RING finger and WD repeat domain protein 2 antibody, constitutive photomorphogenesis protein 1 homolog antibody, hCOP1 antibody, RING finger protein 200 antibody, RFWD2 antibody, COP1 antibody, RNF200 antibody, FLJ10416 antibody, RP11-318C24.3 antibody.
