RCAS1 Antibody

The gene for RCAS1 (receptor-binding cancer antigen expressed on SiSo cells) was identified as an estrogen-responsive gene. Regulation by estrogen of transcription of RCAS1 is mediated by the estrogen receptor which binds to the estrogen-responsive element (ERE) found in the 5'-flanking region of the RCAS1 gene, EBAG9 (estrogen receptor binding site associated antigen 9). RCAS1 is a tumor-associated antigen that is expressed at high frequency in a variety of cancers [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (GeneID: 9166)].
