Plakoglobin Antibody

Plakoglobin (gamma-catenin) is a member of the catenin family of proteins. It bears an armadillo repeat motif and plays a role in cell signaling; but unlike beta-catenenin, which plays a major role in the Wnt signaling pathway, plakoglobin is thought to act as a tumor/metastasis suppressor. Plakoglobin also functions as a junctional plaque protein and forms complexes with cadherins and desmosomal cadherins.

Alternative names for Plakoglobin Antibody include junction plakoglobin antibody, JUP antibody, catenin gamma antibody, desmoplakin III antibody, desmoplakin-3 antibody, CTNNG antibody, DP3 antibody, DPIII antibody, PDGB antibody, PKGB antibody, ARVD12 antibody.
