MBD4 Antibody

 
MBD4 (methyl-CpG-binding domain protein 4) is a member of the MBD family of proteins that mainly functions to bind methylated CpG sites and to repress gene transcription. Unlike its family members, MBD4 exhibits thymine glycosylase activity and has been shown to play an important role in DNA mismatch repair and apoptosis. Alternate names for MBD4 include mismatch-specific DNA N-glycosylase and MED1.
