GTF2H1 (general transcription factor IIH, polypeptide 1, 62kDa) is a component of the core-TFIIH basal transcription factor involved in nucleotide excision repair (NER) of DNA. When complexed to CAK, GTF2H1 is involved in RNA transcription by RNA polymerase II [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P32780].
