CTDP1/FCP1 is a phosphatase that is responsible for the dephosphorylation of RNA polymerase II (RNA Pol II) C-terminal domain (CTD) and is a critical regulator of RNA Pol II function in the steps of transcription. Alternate names for CTDP1/FCP1 include RNA polymerase II subunit A C-terminal domain phosphatase, TFIIF-associating CTD phosphatase, and CCFDN.
