EDD1 is an E3 ubiquitin ligase involved in the DNA damage response. EDD1 has been shown to associate with Chk2 and is necessary for the efficient phosphorylation and activation of Chk2 in response to DNA damage. Alternate names for EDD1 include UBR5, DD5, EDD, HYD, FLJ11310, KIAA0896, and MGC57263.
