DjC8 Antibody

DjC8 (DnaJ subfamily C member 8) belongs to the Hsp40 (heat shock protein 40) family of proteins that function as co-chaperones to Hsp70.Hsp40 proteins are classified into 3 main subfamilies (A, B, and C). The families are defined by the presence of particular domains which include a highly conserved alpha-helical N-terminal domain termed the J-domain, a glycine/phenylalanine-rich region, a cysteine-rich region, and a C-terminal beta-sheet containing domain. Djc8 is part of subfamily C that bears only the J-domain.
