CAP-G Antibody

 
CAP-G is a subunit of the heteropentameric condensin I complex. Condensin participates in the condensation of chromosomes during cell division by facilitating positive DNA supercoiling and knotting by topoisomerase I and II and proper segregation of sister chromatids. CAP-G is a non-SMC regulatory subunit of the condensin complex. Alternate names for CAP-G include condensin complex subunit 3, Non-SMC condensin I complex subunit G, chromosome-associated protein G, condensin subunit CAP-G, hCAP-G, XCAP-G homolog, antigen NY-MEL-3, NCAPG, NYMEL3, CHCG, FLJ12450, and MGC126525.
