Abelson interactor 2 (Abi-2) may act in the regulation of cell growth and transformation by interacting with nonreceptor tyrosine kinases ABL1 and/or ABL2. Abi-2 regulates ABL1/c-Abl-mediated phosphorylation of MENA, and may be involved in cytoskeletal reorganization. Alternative names for Abi-2 include Abl-binding protein 3, AblBP3, Arg-binding protein 1, ArgBP1, ABI2, and ARGBPIA.
