AATF/Che-1 Antibody

 
AATF/Che-1 was identified as a protein that interacts with RNA polymerase II and is involved in the regulation of gene transcription and cell proliferation. AATF/Che-1 has been demonstrated to promote cell proliferation by acting as a competitor of histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1) and interfering with HDAC1’s interaction with the growth inhibiting protein pRB. AATF has also been shown to function as a nuclear receptor coactivator and a repressor of apoptosis. Alternate designations for AATF/Che-1 include apoptosis-antagonizing transcription factor, Rb-binding protein Che-1, CHE1, and DED.
